| | I made this card for this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge. This week's hostess, Pat (casep) chose the theme of "sending comfort" to a family that has lost a small child. This card is going to Robin (stamperrobin) who is the child's great aunt. Making this card was quite hard to do actually because my cousin has experience this kind of loss and this year he would have graduated from high school. I am also entering this card into last week's Alphabet challenge for the letter M. In my card, there is mossy green used for the leaves in the trees. I used a flower stamp from an older SU stamp set called watercolor minis to get the "leaves" added to these trees. It is fun to do and I used 2 colors of ink. The scene was stamped and shaded, then cut out and glued in place while the woodgrain bg is mounted on foam tape for some added dimension. I chose these colors because I was not sure if the child was a girl or a boy so the soft colors seemed appropriate. Thank you for looking today. ~Karen. |
